Land adjacent to Strawberry Villas, Amberley
Overview
Acting on behalf of Whittington Designer Homes, and working alongside ECE Architecture, ECE Planning worked extensively on this residential development which will provide for an eclectic mix of homes comprising of one and two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom dwellings (of which seven dwellings would be affordable (50%).
The scheme was significantly amended through the planning application process to reduce the development density, improve the relationship with the adjacent development, reduce the amount of hardstanding on the site and increase the amount of land given over to ecology. Members of the Planning Committee acknowledged the Applicant’s commitment to delivering a truly landscape-led approach to design.
The site was allocated in the Amberley Neighbourhood Plan and received support from the local community.
