Overview
ECE Planning were parachuted into this complex heritage project following significant issues arising around the legalities of curtilage listing as well as the design and form of the proposed development.
The approved scheme is a modern and contemporary addition to the Lewes Conservation Area, that provides for 4 family dwellings that incorporate both a Grade II listed underground chalk vault and a curtilage listed hearse house from a historic funeral directors that was located on site.
ECE provided the necessary guidance and advice to steer the applications through the planning process and support the scheme at planning committee.
