Land at Dittons Road, Polegate
Overview
ECE Planning have obtained reserved matters planning permission for a development of 57 residential dwellings located on the land to the north of Dittons Road, Polegate, East Sussex. As Planning Consultants for the scheme, ECE Planning worked closely with ECE Architecture and co-ordinated a project team on behalf of the developer, Kitewood Homes.
This application sought approval for the residential element of the approved mixed use development in the sustainable settlement of Polegate, with the proposed site making full use of existing transport links.
Of the 57 dwellings, 20 will be affordable (35%), of these 16 will be affordable rented accommodation (28% total) and 4 will be affordable shared equity (7%). The remaining 37 dwellings (64.9) will be market housing. Both the affordable housing and market housing will be provided in a range of sizes. The proposed development will include extensive public open space with the provision of a children’s play area and a pond to the north east of the development.
