7 Warwick Street & 2 Ann Street, Worthing
Overview
Prior Approval has been secured in Warwick Street and Ann Street in Worthing Town Centre for the conversion from offices to 7no. residential units.
ECE Planning became involved in the project following a refused Prior Approval application. The previous application was refused as the Council were not convinced that the building was in use as offices under B1a Use Class but were instead a Recruitment Agency, typically falling within A2 Use Class.
Chris Barker and Rebecca Hoad from ECE Planning successfully demonstrated that the floors of the building in which the Prior Approval related to would not fall in to Use Class A2, by reason of the following definition from the Use Classes Order: ‘services that are provided principally to visiting members of the public’.
A great result for our client, showing the added value of using planning consultants on projects.
