Sandy Lodge, Kingston Gorse
Overview
ECE Planning is thrilled to have obtained householder planning permission for Residential Remodelling and Extensions to Sandy Lodge in Kingston Gorse, East Preston.
The proposals sought to remodel and extend the existing dwelling, in order to create a 7-bedroom dwelling with double garage, to make efficient use of the brownfield site and seek to provide a high quality and sustainable family home for our client.
The design takes advantage of the sea views from all southern parts of the house, with a robust set of materials to stand up to the coastal environment, whilst also being sympathetic to the local context. Through thoughtful site context analysis and the constraints and considerations of the site, neighbouring properties and wider context, the proposals looked to create a distinctive and appropriate new addition to the Kingston Gorse community, setting a precedent for future developments to Gorse Avenue.
