Sussex Heritage Trust Awards
ECE Planning are delighted to announce that 3 projects completed in 2018 have been recognised by the Sussex Heritage Trust Awards.
The Sussex Heritage Trust Awards are designed to recognise and reward the highest quality conservation, restoration and good design of newly built projects while encouraging the use of traditional skills and crafts.
We are thrilled to announce that Beacon Heights in Haywards Heath was judged a Category Winner and both Windlesham House School (working on behalf of Kier Construction) and Waterside, East Preston (The Pure Group) were Highly Commended.
The judges commented on Beacon Heights; “it was designed to sit sympathetically in the local context. The scheme was developed around the protection of an endangered tree, which is now visible and can be enjoyed by the wider local community.”
Windlesham House School was considered by the judges to be a; “Sensitively designed pool and sports facility in a treasured and historic site. Child friendly design for the most part, which enhanced the project.”
The judges commented as follows in respect of Waterside East Preston; “Very good use of the site - well presented- craftsmanship good. The decision to adopt an Art Deco Style was then well handled.”
We are delighted that these projects have been recognised.
