Last week ECE hosted our second Women in Construction Sussex event at Platf9rm, Hove. Following on from a successful first event in October 2022, six panelists, including ECE Planning Associate Director Sarah Hufford, were invited to share their experiences and thoughts about the topic ‘Journeys into construction and overcoming challenges’ which attracted over 100 attendees.
The discussion focused on giving advice to newcomers and how the industry can be made more accessible and attractive for young women and touched upon how to navigate being a woman on a construction site, and how women can be better supported throughout their careers in general.
We want to thank our ECE Women in Construction Working Group, our attendees, and panelists for another great event with a healthy debate on current challenges and how we can overcome them together.
