ECE Planning, alongside Whittington Designer Homes and ECE Architecture, are delighted to have received resolution to grant at Planning Committee for a site in the South Downs National Park in Amberley. The development will provide 14no high quality residential homes, 7no of which would be affordable (50%).
The scheme will provide an eclectic mix of homes comprising of 2no. one bedroom and 3no. two bedroom apartments, 1no. two bedroom, 5no. three bedroom, and 3no. four bedroom dwellings.
The application which went before Planning Committee on 16 January 2020 was the second application for this site. The revised scheme was significantly amended to reduce the development density, improve the relationship with the adjacent development, reduce the amount of hardstanding on the site and increase the amount of land given over to ecology. Members of the Planning Committee acknowledged the Applicant’s commitment to delivering a truly landscape-led approach to design, conforming to the idyllic village of Amberley.
The site was allocated in the Amberley Neighbourhood Plan and received support from the local community.
