Last week the ECE Group held our January Team Meeting at the iconic Battersea Power Station, a truly inspiring way to move forward into 2023.
Colleagues from all our studios joined together in London, where a visit was arranged to our Kingston College project making use of their new multi-purpose lecture space for our presentations.
We then headed for Battersea Power Station to have lunch at The Nine Elms Tavern and take a look around the iconic Grade II* listed development.
From the 1930s to 1980s, Battersea Power Station was a working Power Station. At its peak, it was supplying a fifth of London’s electricity. Originally designed by leading architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, our team were blown away by the 1930’s art deco restoration of this legendary London landmark and the transformation of the 42-acre site.
Encompassing a new community of shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, homes, offices and open green spaces – this exciting development is now one of the most exciting and innovative mixed use neighbourhoods in the world.
