Public Consultation – Brougham Road

Introduction

We Build Developments are preparing a full planning application for a development of 20 flats and a 284m2 retail space for an ASDA Express Supermarket at Brougham Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 2NU.

We are seeking the views of the community, including people who live and work in the local area, to ensure our proposals take your suggestions into consideration.

We will be holding an Online Public Consultation from Monday 19th May – Monday 2th June. Consultation boards showing the proposals are available to view below. Please use the Feedback Form at the bottom of this page to provide your comments.

Your comments will be relayed to Worthing Borough Council when the planning application is submitted and will be made publicly available, however please note that in accordance with GDPR any personal details will NOT be disclosed and are only collected in order that we may validate your comments. Anonymous feedback forms will NOT be considered. Once the comments from the consultation have been collated, the original comments will be destroyed.

Respondents should note that this is an initial consultation to help inform the evolution of the scheme. A more comprehensive chance to comment will be available during the statutory consultation period when a planning application is submitted.

The style of the building and choice of materials are appropriate for this part of Worthing

The landscaped areas and public realm are appropriately designed.

The proposed mix of 30% one-bedroom, 65% two-bedroom, and 5% three-bedroom flats is appropriate to meet the needs of local people.

The ASDA Express Supermarket is sensitively integrated into the scheme as a whole and will be a valuable asset for the local community.
